TWIST AND LOCK
Twist and Lock Telescoping Flagpoles have features that put them into their own category. They should not be compared to traditional so called Push Button telescoping flagpoles due to the fact that they simply eliminate all of the problems associated with the push button design and are much easier to operate. Push button designed telescoping flagpoles have a history of eventually developing holes that begin to become larger than the button that they were designed to snugly fit into, and buttons that start shearing off simply due to overuse. Once this problem starts, there is no turning back. Push buttons can be spaced at inconvenient points on the pole and this eliminates the opportunity to display your flags at the exact desired height. For people who have trouble using their hands due to arthritis, have a shear lack of coordination or strength, are interested in raising and lowering the flagpole in a timely manner, and are not interested in the frustration which can be developed to find a hole especially in low light situations, the push button design is not something really should be considered. Elderly people who enjoy raising and lowering their flags on a daily basis want to consider these features prior to purchasing a push button style telescopic flagpole. Traditionally the push button flagpoles are also only 20 high at their highest point.
THE GOOD NEWS!
Twist and Lock
Telescoping Flagpoles have all of the great features of traditional push button
telescoping flagpoles except for the following.
The exclusive Twist
and Lock feature allows you to simply raise the pole section-by-section with a
simple counter-clockwise twist of the pole section, and the section is locked
into place. The twist-cam-locking
assembly feature has been used in this flagpole for many years.
Twist and Lock
Telescoping Flagpoles are available in 16 and 21 high poles (not 16 and 20)

Each flagpole kit includes
an extra long plastic ground sleeve that allows a smaller, 8 in diameter hole
to be dug in the ground. This ensures a
vertical flagpole for years to come and eliminates the chance of a frost
upheaval.
Ground
Sleeve Security Clamp

For 16' or 21' poles - deters unauthorized removal of flagpole and
steadies flagpole in sleeve. Clamps top of Ground Sleeve to Flagpole. |

P/N 87658 for 21' poles |
The Ground Sleeve
Security Clamp accessory is the absolute highest quality, strongest, and safest
in the industry. It is made out of
stainless steel.

This heavy duty galvanized steel Deck/Dock
Mount accessory can be installed above or below the decking. Under the deck is
the preferred installation, as it is out of sight and won't be tripped over
when the flagpole is not installed. This mount accepts either the 16' or 21'
flagpoles. Note that these flagpoles will be about one foot higher since they
are not buried in the ground. For under the deck installations, the flagpole would
rest on the bolt at the bottom of the tube. The bolt is removed for above the
deck or on concrete or rock installations. Comes complete with galvanized
mounting hardware.
Trailer Hitch Mount

Another alternative
for flying a flag from your vehicle is the Trailer Hitch Mount accessory. This
mount fits right into a standard 2 square trailer hitch receiver. Simply
insert the Telescoping Flagpole through the mount and raise the pole and flag.
Note that the vehicle must be stationary for this installation, and that the
vehicle cannot be driven with the flagpole mounted as the butt sits on the
ground. For 21 poles only.
RV Tire Stand

For those who want to
take the flag with them, the aluminum RV Tire Stand accessory allows the
flagpole to be set up virtually anywhere a RV, truck or car can be parked.
Trailer parks, car dealerships, tailgate parties are just a few of the places
to fly a flag. Just set the stand on flat ground, somewhere where the flagpole
will be free of obstructions in all directions, and drive a tire up onto the
stand. Insert a 16 or 21 Telescoping Flagpole and raise the pole and flag.
Its as easy as it sounds! Fits 2.25" OD or 2.50" OD Flagpoles. By
removing a plastic sleeve, the larger 2.5" OD pole can easily be inserted
into the stand.
5-year Manufacturer's Limited Warranty
The manufacturer warrants
that if the telescoping flagpole fails due to a manufacturing defect within
five (5) years from the date of the original purchase, the manufacturer will
supply replacement parts, or replace the pole, at the manufacturer's
discretion. The warranties granted herein are exclusive and do not apply to any
other warranty either implied or expressed, nor do they apply to any damage or
failure caused by negligence, misuse, accident, improper installation or stormy
weather, and do not cover incidental or consequential damages. Flags are not
covered under this warranty. Freight charges for damaged or replacement
flagpole parts and labor charges related to the removal or installation of
flagpole parts shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
Twist
and Lock Flagpole Installation Instructions
What you will need Ground Sleeve, Bolt & Nut, Red Plastic Cap
(supplied) Level Three bags of pre-mixed concrete (approx. 18 kgs. or 40 lbs. each) Shovel Wheelbarrow or container to mix concrete in Crushed stone or gravel Installation Call before you dig. Check with local utilities that there
are no buried cables or gas lines where you intend to dig. Choose a site away from trees and overhead wires, so that
the flag or pole will not come into contact with them. Dig a hole approximately 20 cm (8 in.) in diameter and deep
enough (typically about 115 cm or 45 in.) to accommodate the plastic ground
sleeve and approximately 76 mm (3 in.) of crushed stone or gravel. Allow at
least 50 mm. (2 in.) of the ground sleeve to show above ground. Concrete Ground Level Depth of Hole to
suit local climate (Ensure bottom of concrete footing is below frost line)
Approx. 3 inches of Crushed Stone or Gravel Crushed Stone or Gravel to allow
for water drainage Bolt and Nut Installed Ground Sleeve Supplied Cap Approx. 50
mm (2 in.) above Ground Level After digging the hole, place 76 mm (3 in.) of crushed stone
or gravel in the bottom of the hole. This will allow for drainage. Install the bolt and nut through the hole in the plastic
ground sleeve. This must be done before cementing in the ground sleeve, as the
flagpole rests on this bolt. Place the red cap in the top of the plastic ground sleeve,
which will be the end about 56 cm (22 in.), from the bolt. This will keep the
cement out of the sleeve while the hole is being filled. Place the plastic ground sleeve in the hole. The red cap
should be at the top, with the bolt about 50 cm. (20 in.) below the ground
surface and at least 50-mm (2 in.) of sleeve above ground level. Add about another 25-50 mm (1-2 in.) of crushed stone or
gravel to the bottom of the hole so that the end of the ground sleeve is
embedded in stone and concrete should not get in. Mix the concrete or cement per the manufacturer's
instructions. Holding
the sleeve in the approximate vertical position, fill the hole around the
plastic ground sleeve with cement or concrete to a height approximately 25 mm
(1 in.) below ground level. This will allow for finishing the area around the
pole with landscape material if desired. Remove the red plastic cap. Place the flagpole (in its
collapsed state) into the ground sleeve; making sure no cement enters the
sleeve. Using
the level, make sure the pole is vertical by checking 3 or 4 positions around
the pole. When
level, carefully remove the pole from the ground sleeve, making sure that you
do not disturb the position of the sleeve. Place a barrier or warning around
the concrete to prevent anyone from being injured or disturbing the ground
sleeve. Allow
the cement to harden for at least twenty-four (24) hours. You can finish off
the area with mulch, grass, flowers etc. The red plastic cap supplied should be
used to plug the sleeve whenever the pole is not installed. Do not allow any
dirt to enter the sleeve, as the pole may become stuck in the ground sleeve. Congratulations! You have successfully installed and
assembled your new telescoping flagpole. We hope that you will enjoy it for
years to come.
